"Jesus Is The Demon Slayer" (Cont.)
I know that with so many different ways that Christian Ministries approach this subject, from Moody Radio to TBN, that it can get rather confusing to understand what is correct. However, the main thing to realize is that all demonic forces and even the devil himself are subject to the authority of God The Father, Jesus Christ The Son and The Holy Ghost! Hence, if we as Christians are strong in the LORD and the POWER of HIS MIGHT (Eph 6:10), we are representitives of Jesus' authority against any demonic forces. Jesus Himself said in the Great Commission of the Gospel of Mark "And these signs shall follow them that believe: In my name shall they cast out devils" (Mark 16:17). Many have a "Hollywood" concept of demons from movies like The Exorcist and The Exorcism Of Emily Rose that portray unrealistic methodology loosely based on the Catholic Rite Of Exorcism (which is fundementally a prayer of repentence and deliverence). The bottom line is that Jesus demonstrated casting down unclean spirits all throughout His Earthly ministry, so this is NOT a subject that modern Christians should ignore. We are still in a spiritual war with satan today, but God already has the victory in the end!
